America became America because of the foundation that a COMMUNITY sustains itself. Local bakers, local butchers, local dairy farms, local bankers, local garages, local trades people and local grocers supported the community. Rapscallion is committed & dedicated to bringing the COMMUNITY aspect of society back to American towns and cities. By supporting local brands and services you are in turn supporting local jobs and the families and communities affected by them. After a long day of work the local unions and local workers should be drinking a beer that is brewed locally by an independently owned brewery, as opposed to an international macro beer. After-all the great folks that work at these local breweries (Mayflower, Cape Cod, Haverhill, Mercury, Tuckerman, Coastal Extreme, Paper City, Cottrell, etc) support those local union jobs, directly or indirectly (through tax dollars). This local support system is a symbiotic relationship and strengthens the financial state and more importantly - the community feel of the region. In every region of the country, the routine choice should be local. Of course, on occasion we enjoy a wine from France or a beer from Oregon. However, our staple choice is local.

Below are a few philosophies we hope to spread to others, which we believe in and practice on a daily basis:

- Principles before profit.
- Values before wealth.
- Community before everything!

We encourage all to support local companies; all local companies, not just local breweries. Know where all your products are coming from and know the people behind every company to ensure you are supporting the true main street. This local philosophy also means:

-Less energy used to produce and distribute products.
-Positive impact on local economy and jobs.
-And most importantly, food and beverage products are superior in freshness and taste.
